Developer Evangelist (US)

Corona SDK is the leading mobile development platform for building #1 cross-platform games, apps and eBooks. As a Corona evangelist, you will show developers that Corona is the world’s best development platform. You will grow and engage our vibrant developer community. You will lead our growing legion of Corona Ambassadors. You will prepare and deliver great technical presentations and demos. You will discuss technical issues with developers and solicit feedback. You should also be able to write blog posts, give presentations and engage with people on social media.

We are looking for a highly organized and efficient person who thrives in a fast-changing environment, is technical and has great communication skills. You should have strong familiarity with mobile development, mobile gaming and Corona SDK.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead meetups, conferences and other events, both domestic and, potentially, international
• Evangelize Corona among the independent developer community, game studios and agencies, Corona partners and industry groups
• Manage our Corona Ambassador program, with close to 100 worldwide members and growing
• Develop content to communicate Corona product concepts and news. This includes blog posts, sample code, tutorials, social media
• Assist in providing customer support on our forum, via email and social media
• Work with developers in our community to spread the word about Corona

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in software development
• Strong familiarity with Lua and Corona SDK, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• Strong knowledge of mobile platforms and technologies
• Demonstrated experience in communicating and interacting with developers
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality
• Desire to be a valuable contributor to a dynamic and growing team
• Optimally based in the Bay Area, California, but not absolutely necessary
